My family and I spent two delightful nights at Torretta ai Sassi and found it to be a fantastic base for exploring Matera. The location is ideal, nestled in the historic Sassi, making it easy to walk to major sites. We stayed in a charming cave room, which intrigued our little one - the unique structure was definitely a hit! Valentina, our host, was helpful with our requests, even arranging dinner reservations. She had also provided a high chair for our toddler, which made mealtime seamless. The spacious patio, complete with tables and a stunning view, was an excellent spot for family downtime after a day of exploration. With quiet surroundings and close proximity to town, Torretta ai Sassi is an excellent choice for families looking for a memorable stay in Matera. Highly recommended for those with young kids!
